While Adguard is generally trustworthy, it's important to understand how the mechanism works before blindly jumping in. Though a big caviat for privacy: you are trusting Adguard with processing your entire internet traffic, meaning they can see all the pages you're visiting in order to process them. You can also tell Adguard which apps to ignore, if you want to. This also means the most battery impact, though (but not by a lot) as well as the longest time to load the page. So not only is the ad gone but the space where the ad goes is gone too. This means that it doesn't just block ad requests, it actually applies cosmetic filtering to pages. Since people are just recommending stuff and aren't really explaining how any is better, which isn't of much use, I'll try to clarify some differences.Īdguard's app is technically the best because it actually processes your traffic.
